Two may be a magic number for Melrose Area’s Sam Wehlage. At least, it was in the 49-47 Dutchmen win over Paynesville Dec. 14 at the Melrose Area Elementary School in Melrose. He scored to break a 47-47 tie with under a minute left for his second field goal of the game, breaking his second tie of the contest and giving the Dutchmen a two-point win in their second win of the season.
