Why are you running for this position? I grew up just a few miles outside of Holdingford and moved into the city in 2002. I am proud to have been raised in the community, and I try to do my part to better it. I have kept my roots planted here with my wife and five children and hope to continue to better the community.

Share your organizational or business experiences. I have been on the council since 2015 and am also a member of the Holdingford Area Chamber of Commerce. I have also started a business in town that has grown to over a 56,000-square-foot facility, creating jobs and a larger tax base for the city.

What issue affecting your city do you find most pertinent and pressing? Why? In my opinion, the biggest issue right now is the fast-rising costs of pretty much everything. Balancing those costs and keeping our tax level as low as possible is a challenge. In the 10 years I have been on the council, we have actually been able to lower our tax levy. In 2015 when I started, the tax levy was $258,000 and for 2024 it was $250,000. My goal is to try to keep that property tax burden as low as possible for the residents and businesses while still providing the necessary services the city needs.
